We started bike rides in the early 90's. You don't need a special bike, all our routes are easy.

Carsington water has a bit of everything for everybody and is a wonderful place to have a bike ride (thanks to Severn Trent Water) with shops and good walking routes. It is not very far away from Nottingham, Derby and Sheffield with good pubs at Knockerdown and Carsington village (see map).

Very good routes for cycling and walking. It is just like the Lake District, good picnic areas, good pubs, such as Ladybower Inn, Yorkshire Bridge Inn and Snake Inn, just up the A57.

    Longdendale trail
    Tissington trail
High Peak trail - All good and easy, any age
    Manifold trail
    Monsall trail

    The Manifold trail.

What a good place for a bike ride nearly flat from Hulme End to Whetton Mill then on to Westhouses, with teashop at Wetton Mill and just before Westhoues. On the way take a look at Thor's Cave with its spectacular 60ft wide entrance. A really good day out.
